Knife Combatives
Defensive Knife: 8 Hours: Cost: $125
Knives, whether it is a tactical folder, a basic kitchen knife or simple box cutters are readily available, easy to carry, easy to conceal and do not need to be used by a skilled fighter in order for it to kill.

Many people carry knives today with the intentions that it can be used for personal protection. Carrying a knife with very little or no training is a tactical liability to yourself and those around you. However, having an edged weapon or other small defensive tool or improvised weapon available and the knowledge to use it can tremendously increase your odds of winning an attack.

This course will teach the student the dangers of an attacker wielding an edged weapon. Students will learn simple techniques to repel and stop an attack using empty hands, edged weapons as well as improvised weapons. LMI trains force on force with Shocknifes, No Lie Blade Marking knifes as well as numerous other plastic, rubber and foam training knifes.

A knife is an exceptional combative tool; however, you must understand how an attacker may use it to so that you can be proficient in defending against it. It is a fact that most victims of knife attacks never noticed that the attacker had a knife, nor did they realize that they were being cut during the attack; they thought that they were simply being punched. It is imperative that students understand this fact and always train as though an attacker has an edged weapon and wants nothing more than kill you with it.

Students must be at least eighteen years of age to attend this training.  LMI’S Close Quarter Combative Course is highly recommended prior to taking this course as empty hand combatives is the foundation of Knife Combatives. During the course of instruction, only training knifes and padded sticks are used.
