Rifles are being used more and more as Defensive / Offensive Weapons and for good reason. They are fast into action, more accurate at longer distances than pistols and very effective. This course is designed to teach students how to fight with a rifle. Because the vast majority of shootings are at a distance of 1 to 25 yards, this course will reflect these distances, with an emphasis on Close Quarter Distances of 1-15 feet.

Topics Include:

  1. Safety.
  2. Fundamentals of Combative Marksmanship.
  3. Loading.
  4. Failure to fire.
  5. After action assessments.
  6. Barricades and the use of Cover and Concealment.
  7. Shooting positions (offhand, prone, & kneeling).
  8. Multiple threats.
  9. Shooting on the Move.
  10. Weapon retention and disarming techniques.

Students will also train force on force with professional Paintball equipment at the end of this course. This allows students to engage real moving targets that are shooting back and experience simulated dangers of a real gunfight but without the injuries.
